Suburbs

There are good things and bad things about living in the 'burbs of America. Alot of bad things for instance the lack of community. But somthing i enjoy is walking out onto my street at 2 in the morning. When its so quiet that no cars are passing by, no one in the houses is even moving, let alone watching tv. This is a far cry from a college campus with noise all the time at all hours of the day.
I had to get my wallet from my car a few minuets ago and i just stood in the middle of the street and enjoyed the quiet.
It was creepy but more relazxing than anything else.

Ahh... Higher education

Im sitting in my higher education classroom right now... and becoming more and more amazed at the stupidiety of my peers. The assignment was exactly like the last one. An essay mildly about a person, but mostly about the major historical events that took place during their life span. I have been watching student after student approaching the podium and asking stupid inan questions. one young man didn't understand why he didn't get the points when a major fact of his persons life was included only in the concluding paragraph.

This history class has been a major waste of time. We have only been hitting the major parts of any era.. i would have liked some detail at some point in my life.

Is this glossy overveiw going to continue throughout my life? Is the only way to get a good education still through private study? And could somone please tell me how America relates to my current music history?

I think the education missed somthing when i was taking a standerdized test.
